Pilar has been practicing different styles of yoga for years, but in 2013 she discovered Ashtanga and it put her life up side down. She instantly felt in love with the practice after experiencing how powerful and transformative it can be, as it becomes a meditation in movement. She completed several courses in India, in both Ashtanga and Vinyasa styles, and travels every year to Mysore to practice with her guru and teacher R. Sharath Jois. She has also studied with high profile teacher like David Williams, Rolf and Marci Naujokat.

Pilar teaches from the heart and brings the philosophy of yoga into the asana practice. She is very disciplined in her daily routine and believes that meditation and self study are key for the spiritual growth. She also puts a lot emphasis on adjustments and alignment. Pilar is the founder and director of Balearic Retreats and also offers private classes while she is in the island.

I had the privilege of taking Yoga classes with Pilar (in Goa, India) in September 2016, both Ashtanga led and Power Vinyasa classes. It was an experience I will never forget and always be thankful for. Not only is Pilar a wonderful teacher, but being around her is a gift in itself – she lights up any room she walks into, and it was truly a pleasure to learn from her over this time and to soak up her incredible energy. Pilar teaches from the heart & her classes are filled with energy and philosophy, along with thoughtful cues and strong adjustments throughout. She enables her students to explore their boundaries, while at the same time allowing them to feel relaxed and safe within the space she creates for them. I look forward to one day furthering my training with Pilar, preferably in Majorca!

Yasmin is a happy, dynamic and thoughtful person, who loves to create and develop new ideas and to work with people, especially with women, children and babies. She was raised in Mallorca and is absolutely in love with this island, its people and nature.

Yoga has always played a major role in her life, which she continued to practice throughout her pregnancy until the very last day when her baby boy Thiago was born. As soon as she stepped back onto the yoga mat the idea arose to combine her passion for yoga with her new role as a mother. That’s how “Mommy and Baby Yoga” came into life.

The practice of yoga has taught Yasmin how to approach life with open eyes and a fearless attitude. She guides her students step by step through creative sequences and delicately weaves the philosophy of yoga into the asana practice. By teaching not only alignment but also how to pay attention to what is going on in the body and mind in each moment, Yasmin wishes to bring greater awareness to everything we do.

She guides her students through a Vinyasa Flow with elements from Ashtanga and Iyengar, combined with love and kindness.

Besides being a registered Yoga Alliance (RYT) teacher Yasmin is trained by Birthlight™ as a Mommy and Baby Yoga teacher and is specialized in prenatal & postnatal yoga. Recently she has also started to lead Kirtan.

Her lessons are structured for all levels and are taught multilingual. (English, Spanish & German)

Nina discovered yoga while looking for something to help stay calm and focused in her hectic London advertising job. She practiced for a number of years until a trip around the world took her to the holy town of Rishikesh, India where she completed a month’s Iyengar intensive and was absolutely hooked from that point.
Rest of the trip revolved around trying different styles of yoga in every new place she went to. A year after returning to London, she finally quit her advertising job and went to Bali to complete a 200hrs Vinyasa yoga teacher training. Nina’s practice ranges from slow and mellow to deep with a faster flow. She’s also an avid freediver and enjoys pairing her practice of pranayama and meditation with a love for the sea.

As the Executive planner at Balearic Retreats, Nina handles most of the day to day queries and planning of the retreats. She is also your best point of contact for any special requests, so make sure you drop her a note with your queries.

After a vocational ballet school training from age twelve and twenty five years of studying and teaching dance at universities and ballet companies all over the UK, Philippa randomly walked into an Ashtanga yoga class in London.  It was a life-changing incident, that made complete sense.

From London, Philippa Asher is now one of a few Ashtanga yoga practitioners in the world (and the only British woman), to be Certified to teach the traditional Ashtanga yoga method, by Sri K Pattabhi Jois.  She has learned the Primary, Intermediate, Advanced A and Advanced B Series directly from Guruji and Sharath (at the Krishna Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute in Mysore, India) and shares the Ashtanga system, internationally.

Melissa is an experienced E-RYT500 yoga teacher and a Lululemon brand ambassador known for her dynamic Vinyasa flow classes and her integration of the philosophy of yoga into everyday life.

Melissa discovered yoga in 2004 during a transitional period of her life. In 2009, she made the decision to leave the security of regular employment and travelled to the Brahmani Centre in Goa for what was to become multiple teacher trainings with Julie Martin.

She has since been teaching Vinyasa flow in Dubai, with seasonal teaching travels to India. Her dedication to finding truth within herself translates into a commitment to teach yoga from a place of authenticity and integrity.

For Melissa, the practice of yoga increases self-awareness, creating a deeper relationship between the mind, body and spirit and cultivating peace and understanding in everyone’s life.

Angie has been practicing yoga on and off since she was 15 years old. When she was introduced to Vinyasa Yoga in London just over 6 years ago, she knew this was something special – the movement, the music, the variety! She not only became addicted to practicing this style of yoga, but decided she wanted to fully immerse herself in it, and teach it to others as well.

Angie completed her 200hr TT in London 4 years ago and then her 500hr TT in India a couple of years after.

Angie´s classes are varied and dynamic, with strong adjustments and plenty of soul, with a strong focus on breath and physical awareness she constantly encourages her students to grow and explore, while at the same time creates a sanctuary where they can find peace on their mats.

Angie enjoys breaking down the more challenging asanas to make them accessible for students of all levels, and she themes her classes depending on what is going on in her life and the world around her.
