25 June - 2nd July 2022

Join JOHN & JULIA SCOTT for a week of intensive immersion into Transcendental Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, a system and method of yoga that will introduce you to your Own Voice, Your Own Sovereignty or metaphorically your own inner Guru/Teacher.

Each morning there will be a Dynamic Movement Meditation Practice - initially presented as a Transcendental Sanskrit Counted Class progressing to Assisted Guided Self-Practice, with each class finishing with a soothing sound bath. All guests will be Held in a Container of Love and guided Into Self-Practice and Self-Knowledge by John, Julia and an experienced teaching assistant.

This Intensive will be both an amazing group journey plus an inner personal journey of self discovery and development and all this set in the beauty of Natural Mallorca.

The evening workshops will expand in the unpacking of selfless self through deep discussion of the principles and methodology of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, plus journeying into subtleties of Pranayama, Meditation, Mantra and Sound Healing.

Take this time, a time to receive a gift, to take home with you - inspiration, motivation and a key to unlock the doors of Inner perception. To realise how unique you are and that you are the Creator of your Own Universe.

This retreat is appropriate for all levels.

About John Scott:

John has been a student of Yoga, of AVY since 1987, though during retrospective reverie, john realises that much of his early years at school where spent daydreaming – “eyes fixed in a wide gaze out through the window as if travelling to another dimension of reality..”

When does one start yoga? John questions and believes that once you start to question where are you, where have you come from, what are you, what are you doing and where are you going? when these questions percolate and bubble to the surface, you become aware you are already on the Journey of enquiry, the enquiry into your true nature and purpose for being here on this physical plan. It is through the practice of AVY and deep enquiry into the self that John has brought all his earlier experiences and meditations into his life work of sharing.

John’s teaching is therefore very metaphorical, analytical, technical, from the heart and often humorous, his teaching style appeals to students of many backgrounds and nationalities, teaching workshops throughout the world. John remains an avid student of yoga and relationship fascinated by the linking of different traditions and cultures through symbols, language and the Counted Method of Transcendental Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.

About Julia Grant-Scott:

Actor, Dancer, and Yogini, at the age of 18 Julia began her yoga journey, first drawn to Iyengar Yoga and Buddhist Meditation. In 2014 however, when Julia was introduced to Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, it was apparent to her that this one dynamic practice encompassed all the magic and wonder of a mystical journey of self-expression and discovery.

Julia met John in 2016 their two energies fuelled a life together of adventure and discovery.

In 2017 she completed her 200 hour JSY Teacher Training.

When Julia is teaching/sharing and adjusting in yoga asana, she draws from her multiple disciplines. She incorporates and integrates relationship skills so that the student feels met, held and supported, allowing for their inner expression to be articulated.

In 2020 Julia and John completed a Sound Healing Training and enjoy incorporating their new skills into their exploration and journey into asana pranayama and meditation through the inner vibrations of Mantra.

John and Julia Together

John and Julia see that yoga begins with understanding relationship. To listen and give space to one and other and in the coming together as one, to remain true to one unique self, to not eclipse one and other, but to come together in harmony and synergy, sharing a greater experience of this love with all who come into their space.
