The Living Practice is a 1:1 mentorship program for women who want to feel deeply supported in their Ashtanga yoga journey and in their lives.
WELCOME
Hi, I’m Pilar de Miguel. I’m a Level 2 Ashtanga Yoga Teacher authorised by Sharath Jois in Mysore, with over 12 years of experience. But before all of that, I was a woman feeling lost and disconnected.
When I discovered Ashtanga yoga, I was at a low point in my life. I felt out of alignment with myself, with my body, and with what really mattered. This practice gave me strength and clarity. It helped me make better choices, leave behind what no longer served me, and reconnect to a deeper purpose.
That purpose is to share this practice and give other people the same opportunity to find meaning, strength, and connection through it.
Over the past decade, I’ve shared this work through retreats, in-person classes while traveling, and through my yoga studio in Mallorca. Now, as a mother of a beautiful one-year-old, my life has changed again—and so has how I share this path.
That’s how The Living Practice was born.
WHAT IS THE LIVING PRACTICE?
The Living Practice is a 1:1 mentorship program for women who want to feel deeply supported in their Ashtanga yoga journey—and in their lives.
This isn’t a course or a one-size-fits-all practice plan. It’s a living, evolving container designed with care for:
Women who want to start practicing Ashtanga but don’t know where to begin
Women who have no shala nearby and are tired of practicing alone
Women who feel demotivated or overwhelmed by the pressure to "do it all"
Women who are navigating big life phases like pregnancy, motherhood, postpartum, or perimenopause
This mentorship adapts to you. It meets you exactly where you are.
Because life and practice aren’t separate - they reflect each other.
“It was my first experience with yoga, also with Ashtanga, and it has been the most rewarding thing I have done in years. Love Pilar—the most kind person and teacher I know.”
WHY ONLY FOR WOMEN?
Because we are not linear. We move in cycles. We evolve. We bleed, birth, recover, rise.
And we deserve a practice that evolves with us.
Having experienced the shifts of pregnancy, postpartum, running a business, traveling, undergoing surgeries, and now being a mother, I know firsthand how important it is to feel held—and how hard it can be to maintain a daily practice without the right kind of support.
Women need a different approach to practice. One that respects their rhythms. One that gives them space to show up as they are.
That’s what this mentorship offers.
WHAT YOU’LL RECEIVE
A personal 1:1 assessment to understand your body, needs, and life phase
A tailored plan that evolves with you
Weekly progress check-ins so you stay connected and never alone
Live group coaching sessions to ask questions and feel supported
Private chat access so I’m with you throughout your journey
A feeling of real community and belonging
All from the comfort of your home. All with a deeply personal touch.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT?
I created this mentorship because I believe yoga teaching should be personal. I missed the one-on-one connection in big online classes. I wanted to see you: your energy, your story, your breath, your life.
This mentorship brings back that intimacy. It blends the wisdom of Mysore-style teaching with the flexibility modern women need.
This isn’t about pushing through. It’s about showing up. With softness. With consistency. With self-trust.
“Thanks to Pilar, I am hooked on Ashtanga yoga... Pilar’s class is Mysore style, and for me, it is the best way to learn and improve.”
If this speaks to you, let’s connect. Schedule a free call to talk about where you are, where you want to go, and whether this mentorship is the right space for you.

About ME
Thank you for stopping by! My name is Pilar de Miguel, and I’m a Level 2 authorized teacher by Sharath Jois.
Yoga has been a part of my life since a young age, and over the years, I’ve explored many different styles. However, when I discovered Ashtanga Yoga in 2014, I immediately felt a deep connection to its transformative power—particularly the way it blends breath, meditation, and movement.
Inspired by this practice, I left my career in international media and began traveling to Mysore, India, to study with my teacher and Guru, Sharath Jois. It was during this time that I felt compelled to create Balearic Retreats, bringing the magic of Mysore to my home island of Mallorca, and eventually expanding to other locations.
Today, I lead a Mysore program in Mallorca, teach both locally and internationally, and support retreat leaders in enhancing their offerings.
